About the Course & Instructor

(Recommended ages 11 to 18)

Sarah aims to provide a comprehensive study into the field of communication studies. Students will engage in issues relating to their community, personal identity, and media to evaluate the different influences and impacts they have on society and daily life. Bachelors in Communication Studies and Religious Studies at McMaster and currently pursuing a Masters in Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto.

What you will learn

  • Enhance personal speaking and oral communication skills through class presentations

  • Improve reading and comprehension skills through engagement with diverse reading material

  • Develop writing skills through writing assignments

  • Project work will include elevator pitch and freestyle presentations

How it works after registration

  • LIVE Zoom sessions are 1hr long each every Saturday & Sunday, 1pm - 2pm (EST) from May 29 to June 27

  • All sessions will be recorded and made available after the LIVE session

  • Course is in English and will take 5 weeks to complete

  • Syllabus will include weekly lessons, Zoom link, surveys, quizzes and downloadable information

  • Earn a Certificate upon completion
